Solution-Focused Reference Materials...
There are so many great Solution-Focused books, articles, videos, and related materials, that we simply can't keep up! We have started to list some of our favourites on our website at We would love our members to add to our community list. Please email us at to give us your thoughts on what should be included.

As we continue to highlight pieces that we believe are great SFBT resources, we wanted to bring up one of our older favourites. Although an older book, it is one of the foundational pieces that really got us thinking about how to apply the solution-focused approach with our clients. Clues: Investigating Solutions in Brief Therapy (1988) by Steve de Shazer. The author engages the reader in approaching "difficult" cases with "what works" to help the clients discover their own strengths and solutions to their challenging situations.

" The person who says something is impossible should not interrupt the person who is doing it. "
~ Chinese Proverb

We are adding to our virtual "library" and Solution–Focused interest groups and individuals through Facebook. We hope to "see" you there!
