The Solution-Focused Taxi
"Helping people move from problem talk to solution
With school winding down for the summer, and people planning their summer vacations, we thought we would send you all our best for a safe and fun-filled summer vacation. We too will being taking a bit of a break, but are planning for new upcoming workshops and e-learning opportunities this Fall! Our new 2016 dates will be in the Fall newsletter and on our website at www.solutiontalk.ca.
See you all in September!
We thought we would continue with our growing analogy from last month. There is a wonderful solution-focused acronym by G. Alexander, Behavioural Coaching (2006), to use in our work with clients. This can be especially useful to remember for single-sessions.
It is, GROW:
G – Goal "What are your best hopes?"
R – Reality "On a scale of 0 to 10, with 10 being your hopes are realized and 0 is the opposite, where are you now?"
O – Options "What would you notice if you were 1/2 a point higher on your scale?"
W – Way Forward "What do you see as your next step going forward?"
E-learning – new course start dates commence Semptember 2015!
